Janeen Whalen, MCC

Janeen is a partner at New and Improved and president of Remarkable Conversations. Janeen works with individuals and organizations to sharpen the quality of their thinking, facilitate success, and develop outstanding leaders. Using the latest research in adult learning, and with spirited inquiry and applied leadership, Janeen creates an enlivened environment of learning and transformation.

Janeen brings to each project a unique perspective; one of business owner, entrepreneur, creative thinker and executive coach. With the same passion with which she built her own company, Janeen quickly analyzes an organization and applies solutions that continue to improve the organization long after her work is finished.

Her provocative ideas have appeared in coaching journals and publications and she is consistently spreading the word on how to positively affect change through workshops and conference presentations. Janeen is a master certified coach, the most advanced professional designation granted by The International Coach Federation. As an early adaptor of coaching, she was instrumental in shaping the profession of coaching. Janeen, along with a handful of her colleagues helped mold the beginnings of both the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association and the Professional and Personal Coaches Association, which later became part of the International Coach Federation. She is on the faculty of the Creative Problem Solving Institute, a member of the Creative Education Foundation, and active in the Storytelling In Organizations SIG of the National Storytelling Network.

Janeen lives in Santa Monica, California and takes advantage of all that the surrounding areas have to offer. Whether it’s the ocean, desert or the mountains, she thrives being in nature. Other areas of enjoyment include design, health and particularly movement. She finds her best ideas come to her while swimming and has generated hundreds of business concepts while under water.
