Julia is a partner with New & Improved, bringing decades of experience to her work as a trainer, facilitator, and creativity/life coach. As a coach, she is certified by the Martha Beck Institute, and trained further with the Creativity Coaching Association. Julia has a Masters certificate from Buffalo State College’s International Center for Creative Studies and has worked in ideation, concepting and strategic branding for over 25 years, with clients such as: American Express, Western Union, Kraft Food Services, Gevalia Kaffe, KitchenAid, and Warner Bros Family Video. Her previous work as an account supervisor for tie–in promotions is well regarded and familiar to many. Examples include: diet Coke with Goldstar, LIFE Cereal with LIFE Magazine, Teddy Ruxpin with Quaker Oats, Pizza Hut with Wolfman Jack, KFC with Smokey Robinson, and Avon with Mary Hart.

In addition to keynotes, coaching, and training, Julia is also our lead researcher for our “Best Practices in Innovation” whitepaper series, doing the research and writing that allows our clients to learn from both the successes and failures of others. As a writer with diverse interests, she has authored two books: Motherhood to Otherhood (Running Press, 2008), and RV There Yet? (BookSurge, 2007).

In her spare time, Julia can be found dabbling in all sorts of creative endeavors from acting and singing, to biking and gardening. For the record, she makes a mean “Cream of Yesterday” soup.
