Victor is a partner at New & Improved as well as the Director of the Graduate Studies Department at the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), a university in Sao Paulo, Brasil. He is a trainer, speaker and consultant in the area of creative thinking and innovation management, entrepreneurship and talent management.
Organizations that have benefitted from his expertise include: IBM / Lenovo; Johnson&Johnson; Novartis Biochemicals; Scania Trucks; and Tyco Electronics. Victor works with large companies as well as spreading the concept of creative thinking and innovation to students and faculty throughout FAAP.
Victor’s background includes participating in the introduction of microcomputers in Brazil by evaluating the new technology, beta testing and contributing to the development of user manuals. His interests evolved as the Quality and Productivity wave took off, and in 1993 was selected by the university to learn more about how to develop “Human Potential” by visiting world renowned research centers including the Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY College at Buffalo. He was a regular at the Creative Problem Solving Institute for many years. In 1994, he coordinated the implementation of the first creativity course in the engineering college and was its first professor. His books include: Qualidade da Criatividade, Vols. I e II, and Gestão Criativa – Aprendendo com os Empreendedores mais bem sucedidos do mundo, besides co–authoring Empreendedor Corporativo, with Eduardo Bom Ângelo, president of Brasilprev, with whom he also writes for various business magazines.
When he’s not working, Victor can be found indulging his passion for his family, sports, and finding ways to tap into the vast array of human capabilities.
