Sheila Delarm
Sheila is a Partner at NEW & IMPROVED and is best known for her work with groups of young people in peer leadership and empowerment trainings. She has directed Teen Institutes and a variety of other intensive youth leadership and health enhancement experiences. For the adult population, Sheila shares her significant depth of experience through trainings on the use of New Games and Initiatives, practical and theoretical programs for professionals involved in drug abuse prevention, and other wellness related topics.
The primary organizer of the "Joy of Giving" program sponsored by N&I every Christmas, Sheila focuses on making altruistic behaviors a habit in the youth and adults she comes into contact with.
Sheila Delarm is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor with a Masters in Administration and Leadership. She holds permanent teaching certification in biology, chemistry, and general science and comes from a background as a Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator for two communities in the Adirondack Mountains.
Sheila lives with her husband and home-schools their two children in the northern Adirondack Mountains of New York. She can be found weekly teaching environmental education programs to small children in extraordinarily creative ways or serving her community as a volunteer firefighter.
